A massive State level Cricket Tournament was organised by Kanchi zonal Engineering Wing of Makkal Needhi Maiam on June 18th. The tournament was inaugurated by MNM VIice President Mr. A. G. Mourya and Mr. Vaitheeswaran, State Secretary of the Engineering Wing.
State Secretaries Mr. Siva Elango, Mr. Mayilvaganan and kanchi Agricultural Wing zonal organiser Mr. Shanmugam were the chief guests.
Mr. Vaitheeswaran flagged off the finals which was held on 16/07/2023. More than 50 teams competed in the tournament and Kanchipuram's BRCC Brothers lifted the trophy. Kanchi zonal organiser of the Engineering Wing Mr. Aravindraj awarded the winners with Rs. 50000 in cash and presented them with medals and trophies.
The first Runners up Cheyyar Worldstar team were awarded with Rs.25000 in cash, and medals and trophies by State Coordinator for Entrepreneurs Wing Mr. Mayilvaganan.
The second runners up received Rs. 10000 and trophies from District Youth wing organiser Mr. Gokula Krishnan.
Deputy District Organiser Mr. Sathishkumar gave away Rs. 10000 and a trophy to the team which came 4th.
Mr. Vaitheeswaran, State Secretary Engineering Wing awarded Rs.5000 each to the Man of the Match and Man of the Series.
