On behalf of Makkal Needhi Maiam, I take great pride in congratulating Ms. Shaliza Dhami , for becoming the first woman commander of the combat division of IAF. She has added pride to women at large, and she has made our Nation proud, scaling beyond the skies! 

She has already been conferred with multiple awards & accolades. This distinction stands out , as she is the chosen one to lead the West Airforce wing..

Taking the reins of guiding and strategising major battles in mid air, is no meagre responsibility. .

On this International Women's Day,, Makkal Needhi Maiam lays emphasis on expanding opportunities for women in the Army, Paramilitary and the Police force , apart from other duties of importance, where women can excel using their extraordinary skills!
