MNM General Secretary Mr. A. Arunachalam releases communique on TN budget - calls it a progressive budget!

A progressive budget with focus on the welfare of students, youth and women! Makkal Needhi Maiam congratulates the State Government! MNM General Secretary releases communique! 

The State budget has been drafted with foresight, aiming at enhancing the welfare of students and women. 
Since DMK formed the government in 2021, the focus has been primarily on education, sports, schemes benefitting women and students. 

The budget, presented at the Assembly, has put forth the long- standing demands of Makkal Needhi Maiam , into action. 

The President of MNM, Dr. Kamal Haasan has been voicing out the need to honour homemakers , by proposing the revolutionary concept of Salary for Housewives. Makkal Needhi Maiam has the distinction of being the first ever Indian political party to propose this concept. The party takes great pleasure in congratulating the State Government for announcing Rs. 1000 / month as rightful wages for women. 
The move to expand serving breakfast in Government Schools is a welcome thought. 

Alloting Rs. 1500 crores to improve the infrastructure of schools, announcing financial aid for students preparing for competitive exams, building a state of the art stadium to promote sports and bringing special category schools under the government , will stand as exemplary vision for TN. 

Metro Rail in Coimbatore and Madurai, SIPCOT park in Gobi, Footwear manufacturing units , Handloom parks and textile parks will provide employment opportunities for thousands of youngsters! Similarly, the announcement proposing a Classical Language Park in Coimbatore, is a welcome move. 
The proposed roads and flyovers for Chennai, will considerably ease traffic congestion. 
MNM also lauds the initiatives to improve the city's infrastructure to handle water logging during monsoon season. 

In the literary sector, initiatives such as International Book Fair, expansion of Sangamam and an exclusive Chola Museum , stand apart as a. connoisseur's delight! 

To sum up, the TN budget has been drafted ,ensuring an overall improvement for the State. Makkal Needhi Maiam, places it's request to the Honourable Chief Minister of Thamizhnaadu, to bring the Right To Service s Act into force immediately. Enforcing RTS would largely benefit the Mudhalvarin Mugavari scheme too! 

Makkal Needhi Maiam hopes that the Thamizhnaadu Government will duly enforce RTS , while congratulating the Financial Minister for presenting a progressive budget..
