One of the new age directors of the Malayalam film industry, K. G. George, passes away. Iragal, Swapnaapanam, Matroraa, l,Oozhkadal,, Mela, yavanika are few of his importantly note worthy films. He founded and headed the Malayalam Film Technicians Association.
The National and State Awards speak his glory.. The eminent Muttathuvarki literary award, this far given only for literary works , was given to Iragal, as its screenplay was deemed highly literary.
